Richmond Township is a civil township of Marquette County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 974 at the 2000 census. Palmer and the Empire iron mine are located in the township.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 57.5 square miles (148.8 km²), of which, 55.6 square miles (144.0 km²) of it is land and 1.8 square miles (4.8 km²) of it (3.24%) is water.
